Who are you?

SOS CLEAN WATER, Inc. is a non-profit, charitable organization working to bring relief to rural communities in Sub – Saharan Africa who suffer needlessly from a lack of access to clean water and proper sanitation.

Are you a 501(c)(3) organization? (is my gift tax deductible)?

YES. SOS CLEAN WATER, Inc. is a public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donations are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.

Where do you work?

SOS CLEAN WATER, Inc is currently focused on  raising money to construct water wells , rain water catchments , filtration systems and adequate sanitation facilities for unfortunate communities in Ivory Coast (Cote D’Ivoire) first and then across Africa.

Where does this money go?

Like any non-profit organization, we have many expenses outside of  water project construction costs.

What type of  Organization are you? “Religious”, “Political”?

No. We are simply a Charitable Non-profit.

We work to help unfortunate people regain hope without any discrimination of ethnic, religion.

How do I know the money was well spent?

We are part of all processes from raising funds to getting clean water. We provide project specific details and a final report, including photos of the accomplished water and sanitation faculties to show how people donations impact rural villages or school children. We will build a lasting relationship with our donors, by creating confidence in our work and credibility through our projects.  

Do you help dig wells?

Yes we do.  Some of our board members will be on the field to work with local labor.

How much does a well cost?

The cost to dig a well in Africa varies greatly from one site to the next.  On average the cost is between $8,500 and $35,000 depending on depth of the water and the number of people served  and the type of well.

Can I volunteer?

Of course YES! Currently we are seeking individuals who are inspired to act.

We are looking for anyone who is willing to tell others about SOS CLEAN WATER. Directing or leading people to our cause and website is the key to our shared success. Everyone has the ability to tell someone else. If you have any social networking connections, please involve everyone you know. This is perhaps the single most important way any one person can help!
